Sarah Harding is set to release a brand new single following the success of last week's Girls Aloud fan campaign, which saw the group's 2004 track Hear Me Out reach number 28 in The Official Big Top 40 chart.

After opening up about her terminal advanced stage breast cancer diagnosis in her autobiography, Sarah's set for a return to music as she releases Wear it Like a Crown this week; with profits reportedly going to The Christie NHS Foundation.

Wear it Like a Crown will be released in the UK on Thursday March 25th 2021, and is apparently a 10-year-old song Sarah 'found in the archives.'

According to a source close to Sarah - Sarah Harding Addicts - the song was recorded a decade ago and will be released as a charity single.

They said, "Sarah was going through her archives while writing her book Hear Me Out and came across the song ‘Wear It Like A Crown’ which she had recorded a decade earlier.

"She had always loved the song and asked her team if there was any way to release it for fun. Any profit from the single release will go to The Christie NHS Foundation who have taken such brilliant care of Sarah and many others."

This all comes after Sarah returned to the charts last week with former Girls Aloud bandmates Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts; after a fan campaign saw their What Will The Neighbours Say? album track Hear Me Out storm the iTunes chart and hit number one.

During her time in Girls Aloud Cheryl married and divorced footballer ex-husband Ashley Cole after he cheated. Cheryl was also found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an altercation with a nightclub toilet attended in 2003. On a slightly lighter note (well, kind of) she threw a lot of shade when she said she "didn't think" Nicole Scherzinger would make it as a solo artist…

Kimberley Walsh

Kimberley was pretty unproblematic in Girls Aloud, although we can't forget when she completely backed Cheryl throwing shade at Nicole Scherzinger. Kimberley also didn't seem keen on the idea of the Pussycat Dolls star launching a solo career.

Nadine Coyle

After Girls Aloud split in 2013, Nadine made it clear that it was not her idea. "You should know by now I had no part in any of this split business. I couldn't stop them. I had the best time & want to keep going," she tweeted at the time.

Nadine Coyle - 2020

Nadine has pretty much become a meme after the nation discovered how she says "flour" on Sunday Brunch. She launched her own solo career, took part in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2019 and following a brief split from her fiancé Jason Bell they went on to have a child and tie the knot. Unfortunately they split months before she flew out to the jungle.

Sarah Harding

Sarah was definitely the funniest of the group. Remember at the Brit Awards in 2009 when Girls Aloud won Best Single for The Promise and Sarah shouted down the microphone, "Can I just say, it's about timmmeee… I think I just wet myself." Obsessed.

Sarah Harding - 2018

Nicole Roberts

Remember when Matt Willis called Nicola a "rude ginger b-tch" and she hit back but writing 'I'm a rude ginger b-tch… bothered!' on her shorts? Now that's iconic.

Nicola has also launched her solo career and she won the first series of The Masked Singer UK.

Thanking fans, Nicola tweeted, "This is amazing! Thank you for doing this for Sarah. To be able to tell her this is so special ❤️"

Nadine added, "You guys!!! Sarah will really appreciate this & so do I!!! Thank you all for everything!!!

"Forever the best fanbase ever!!! Keep downloading!!! ❤️"

This all comes after Sarah detailed a recent Girls Aloud reunion in her autobiography, out now via Ebury Press.

"I arrived at Soho Farmhouse just as Nicola, Nadine and Kimberley pulled up, so actually, the reunion moment was mainly in the car park," she wrote.

"We all stayed in the same big house, and we had the most amazing Japanese dinner delivered in from Pen Yen, which is one of the beautiful restaurants within the farm.

"By then, I’d loosened up and started to enjoy myself. There was much reminiscing. We decided to watch all the episodes of Girls Aloud: Off the Record, which was the documentary-style behind-the-scenes TV show we’d made for E4 in 2006."
