The Xtra Factor host, who claimed to be 29, is in fact 33 (we think she actually looks loads younger!) with an insider telling the Sun: “Sarah-Jane claims that she’s never lied about her age – people just assumed she was 29 and she has never corrected them.”
Nice trick there, Sarah. We might try that.
The missing years give for some comical reading when looking at previous interviews.
For example, apparently she sat her GCSE’s in 2007, which would mean she sat them when she was just 12 years old. Now unless she’s a child genius, that doesn’t seem to add up.
Sarah-Jane also previously talked about taking part in Channel 4’s Shipwrecked (back in 2002) but in reality, she’d have only been 16 and you have to be over 18 to take part.
Oh dear.
At least she’s not the first person to try and knock some numbers off her birth date, with Paloma Faith pretending she was four years younger (to get a record deal) and Agyness Deyn confessing to dropping six years off her age.
Why can't we all just be old and amazing?
