SATC star is brutally honest about it. And sassy AF.

Finally, FINALLY, Sarah Jessica Parker has admitted that Sex and the City 2 was a bit shit. Well, she wasn't quite as damning as that but she certainly admitted its shortcomings in a recent interview.

From the poor script (a genuine punchline involves Samantha referring to a middle eastern man as "Lawrence of My Labia") straight through to the uncomfortable racism (Women in hijabs like sparkly underwear too!) it arrived with a bang back in 2010. The bang being the sound of jaws dropping at how terribly wrong just about everyone involved in the film had got it.

The cast, obviously, stayed silent or neutral, as you would if the most-loved series you've been a part of had come to a close with a critically panned mess. Now, though, SJP has acknowledged it in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly at Vulture festival.

"I can see where we fell short on that movie, and I'm perfectly happy to say that publicly. I will say, I also understand how much friggin' money it made."

ABSOLUTE BURN, SARAH. We love it.

The star went on to discuss SATC 3, which would presumably be in the pipeline purely to apply some form of salve to the wounded franchise's subpar, disappointing conclusion.

"It's never been a 'no'...it's always been an 'if' and 'when'," she said. "And that remains the question being asked by two very thoughtful people who are taking into very serious consideration those people who devoted a lot of time.

"We're not cavalier about the way we arrive at that decision."

Good to hear. Provided they really do take their time and REALLY think about what sort of film would do the series justice.
