Who’s laughing now though, Mollie?

Bupsi Brown and Alien Uncovered should take heart.

The two acts were the first to get the boot from The X Factor on Saturday but failing to win the show doesn’t mean failing at music.

And, for once, we’re not talking One Direction.

Mollie King - AKA one fifth of one of the most successful bands in Britain right now - was unceremoniously given the push from The X Factor not once but twice.

Don’t believe us? There is evidence!

Woah, Mollie!

A fresh-faced Molls first tried out in 2005, singing I Just Want To Make Love To You (why, Mollie? WHY?).

Wicked witch of The X Factor Sharon Osborne told Mollie off for her “inappropriate” shorts and vest combo which Simon Cowell, oddly, was quick to point out that he didn’t have a problem with.

Sadly, Simon’s shorts appreciation was not enough to see Mollie go further in the competition.

Fallen Angelz: Very not good

Mollie tried for The X Factor fame again in 2007 with Fallen Angelz, who looked like a Primark All Saints and sounded pretty rubbish to be honest.

But, leaving the Angelz to fall without her presumably, that same year Mollie joined The Saturdays and history (or at least beautiful music) was made.

Bless 'er. Turned out alright in the end, didn't it?
