Dustin Diamond will start his jail term in January. Dustin will serve four months behind bars after an altercation in a bar in Wisconsin.
Dustin, who played Screech in* Saved By The Bell* in the 90s, appeared on court earlier this week and withdrew his appeal over his disorderly conduct conviction.
In June, Dustin was found guilty of two misdemeanours – carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct – and was supposed to go into jail then. But a judge withheld sentencing until his appeal hearing. After Dustin withdrew, the judge said he would start his term in the New Year.
The incident occurred after Dustin pulled a pocketknife out when in a bar. He later claimed he was trying to protect his girlfriend.
While inside, Dustin will be allowed out of jail to take part in community service work.
