This year’s I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! was just what we needed after a shitty 2016.
Instead of watching a bunch of celebs tearing each other’s hair out and fighting over who had the last spoonful of rice, we saw them all getting along marvellously.
There was the beautiful bromance that blossomed between Adam Thomas, Joel Dommett (plus all 3928509 of his abs) and Wayne Bridge.
Larry Lamb and Scarlett Moffatt became the besties we never expected.
And Carol Vorderman was the group mummy that we all wanted.
It was all just SO NICE.
But that doesn’t mean it has been without its usual controversies.
Ant and Dec got an email from actual Stephen Hawking following the joke they made about him, Coronation Street fans kicked off when it was cancelled in place of jungle time, and since Scarlett Moffatt took the crown on Sunday naysayers are claiming the whole thing is a big old fix.
(Even though we have the proof RIGHT HERE that she consistently got the most votes for the duration of the show. NER.)
However, following speculation that the gang were somehow managing to conduct private conversations, Sam Quek has revealed that she was, in fact, sending some sneaky messages to the outside world.
OOER.
Upon leaving the jungle, the Olympian apparently confessed to writing ‘143’ on her hat.
But what does 143 mean? Is it how many times she’s wished she was back home eating crisps, not bugs? Is it how many grains of rice she’s been living off in camp? Is it a nod to the ever-increasing price of a Freddo?
No. It’s actually code for ‘I love you’ and was meant as a secret message for her boyfriend, Tom Mairs.
SMART.
Or not smart, because now people are kicking off that she’s been bending the rules.
Producers were supposedly concerned that the celebs were communicating with the outside world somehow, so does this prove that they were right all along?
We don’t know what to think anymore.
But Tom apparently littered the hotel bed with 143 rose petals once Sam got out of the jungle.
HOW CUTE.
