If anyone was going to be the face of a campaign to promote smiling, it would be Scarlett Moffatt. The Gogglebox hero is literally the smiley-est celeb we’ve ever met, and even after her recent shock split from civilian Luke Crodden after a year of what-looked-like total happiness (she’d even hinted to heat that marriage was on the cards) the 26-year-old is still grinning. The I’m A Celeb champ has teamed up with Babybel to ‘Raise more than a smile’ for Comic Relief, and is here to tell heat all about life as A Famous Person, her recent weight loss and cancelling her boob job.

Scarlett, tell us about this rather lovely campaign you’re doing.

It’s to ‘Raise more than a smile’ and it’s just a really nice campaign. It’s working with Babybel and ten pence of every pack goes towards Comic Relief, which is amazing. All the little Babybels have got little jokes on them! Do you want to hear one?

Yes, obviously.

They’re proper Christmas Cracker jokes, I love them. This is my personal favourite; I was interrogated over the theft of a cheese toastie… they really grilled me [laughs].

Er, aside from the jokes, what makes you smile?

For me, it’s simple things. My little sister telling me about her day at school and all the things that have happened. Or sitting down with my family and watching something funny. Or even just little things from strangers – like when people smile or hold the door open. Little things like that really that make me appreciate every day.

You lost 3st last year, are you worried about keeping it off?

No. Another reason exercise is so good is the endorphins rush, so you feel really positive. I still eat Babybel and chicken kebabs but I’m mostly healthy… Oh, and maybe a little Babybel with Nutella. I just think you can’t beat yourself up over your weight. Like, for me, it was more for health reasons. So if I put a few pounds on, I’m not going to beat myself up about it.

You told us last year you’d have a boob job after losing weight, is that still the plan?

No. You know what, I feel like that was a phase and that phase is over. I don’t need to do anything like that.

Do you see much of your fellow I’m a Celeb winner, Vicky Pattison after all those rivalry rumours?

I love Vicky, she’s fab, I just think we’re completely different people. My idea of a good night is sitting in the house with a pizza or chicken kebab, having a girls’ night. I’m not really a party animal. But just because we’ve both got dark hair, been in the jungle and have a northern accent, people are like ‘Are you twins?!’

You moved down to London recently, how are you finding all the moodiness?

Honestly, I’ve not seen it, but that’s just because I smile a lot. Everybody is so nice. I feel like there’s a misconception that people from down south are miserable, but if you have a little moment where you smile at someone or you open a door, then everyone’s just lovely. I think more people need to smile at strangers, honestly it goes a long way.

Your parents are off Gogglebox and you’ve moved out, but do you still watch TV together?

Yeah! I always say to me mam ‘What are you watching?’ and we’ll watch the same thing and text each other. And I still talk out loud at the telly as if I’m still on Gogglebox

You have so much going on, is this the happiest you’ve ever been?

I think I was just as happy last year. The only massive difference is that I’m a lot more confident. I’ve been given a platform to show people that you can achieve anything.

Do you constantly pinch yourself with everything that’s happening to you?

I wake up every day and I’m so thankful for the opportunities. I mean, I’ve eaten Babybels since I was at school – I never thought that one day I’d be doing a campaign for them and especially for Comic Relief! It’s such an amazing charity and they’ve done amazing things for so many people.

Scarlett is working with mini Babybel to raise more than a smile this Red Nose Day. 10p from special packs will be donated to Comic Relief. Read Scarlett's interview in the latest issue of heat magazine, out now.
