Scott Disick is currently all loved-up with Sofia Richie, the daughter of Lionel Richie, and it’s been heavily reported that Scott hasn’t proved very popular with his girlfriend’s dad.
When asked by US Weekly what he thought of their relationship when they first started dating, Lionel said: "I’m scared to death, are you kidding me?”
"Have I been in shock?! I’m the dad, come on."
And he later threw even more shade the couples’ way, saying that the relationship was ‘just a phase’.
"I know what my parents meant when I came through the door with my Afro and my girlfriend and said, 'Dad, I'm in love' and [he] looked at me and said 'Okay, we're going to leave you alone for a minute and you'll figure it out,' " Lionel told The Telegraph.
He added: "When you're 19, you know everything. Is it going to be for life? I don't know. But for right now, it's just a phase and I'm going to stand real still in the corner, get me a good drink and not make too much noise."
And now it’s been reported that Lionel snubbed poor old Scott from a family event.
It was Lionel’s Hand and Footprint Ceremony in Hollywood on Wednesday, and his girlfriend Lisa Parisa, Sofia, Nicole Richie, her husband Joe Madden were all there – but Scott was noticeable missing.
"He [Lionel] doesn't like that they are together," an insider said, according to The Sun. "Scott has so much baggage AND went to rehab. Who wants that for their teen daughter?
