There’s been a lot of speculation over that last few weeks that childhood sweethearts Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber would rekindle their romance.
ICYMI, the pair started 'hanging out' again a few weeks back (after Selena opened up about her kidney transplant) when Justin was spotted rocking up to Sel's LA house.
Selena's then boyfriend Abel Tesfaye aka The Weeknd was apparently 'fully aware' of the situation and it was claimed the only reason he wasn't joining in on the little reunion was because of his tour commitments.
Then there was the breakfast date - which, in our opinion, seemed a little too cosy for a couple of old friends - and shortly after, the news broke that The Weeknd and Selena Gomez hadcalled time on their 10-month romance.
Selena and Justin also looked the picture of loves’ young dream on bike ride together the other day and at one point Sel was snuggling into Justin’s shoulder.
Now an insider close the pair has confirmed they’re back on after being encouraged to reconcile by Justin’s pastor
"They started texting when she was in hospital for her kidney transplant,” a source told The Sun.
Apparently, Biebs only found out when the story came out in the press and was sad that Selena hadn’t told him personally.
The source continued: “He has been going to church every week and spends all his time with his pastor Carl Lentz - Carl has been encouraging 'reconciliation' between the two - to heal their friendship at least - and Justin basically has been asking her for her forgiveness this whole time.
"He's really cleaned up his life majorly, they consider each other their one true love."
The couple have been pictured together a lot over the last few days, so we’re guessing Carl’s advice is proving a success.
But it's been reported this reunion is not the cause of Selena's split from The Weeknd.
"Selena and Justin are back together," another source told UsWeekly.
"Selena and The Weeknd just fizzled and ended amicably—it wasn't dramatic and it wasn't about Justin.
"But Selena always had feelings for Justin. Her friends want her to be cautious because she has been in such a good place post-surgery."
BRB, we’re just off to message our first love (if they’ve unblocked us yet). Hey, if it worked for Justin and Selena, it’s worth a try, right?
