Selena Gomez has just made herself completely transparent. The "Fetish" singer opened up about the 90-day rehab stint she did in order to treat her physical and mental health – a time period in her life that all Selenators have questions about. It was last October when Sel decided to end her tour before she could finish. She knew she needed to do what was best for her.

So, Selena completely removed herself from the life of Hollywood and fame. Being one of the most followed people on social media, that was no easy feat, either.

Selena chatted with InStyle for her September cover shoot interview and said, "I went away for 90 days, and it was the best thing that I ever could’ve done. I had no phone, nothing, and I was scared. But it was amazing, and I learned a lot. I was in the countryside and never did my hair; I took part in equine therapy, which is so beautiful. And it was hard, obviously. But I knew what my heart was saying, and I thought, ‘OK, I think this has helped me become stronger for other people."

For those that don't know, equine therapy is basically a method of therapy that uses horses and horseback riding as a way to promote emotional growth. There is a wide range of activities involving the horses that can be done such as grooming and feeding the horse, controlling the horse while sitting in a carriage and stable management amongst others.

Selena said that even after this rehab experience, there are still some days where she struggles. But now, she has solutions. She continued, "I go to therapy. I believe in that and talking about where you are. But I’m in a really, really healthy place." Obviously, our girl is on the right path. The pressures of being who she is in this world can be really tough on a person and Selena knows that. She even touched on those difficulties when it comes to social media as well.

She said, "It’s good to be connected, to see things, and to get a sense of what your friends are up to. But it also allows people to think they need to look or be a certain way … now it feels more zoomed-in – you have ugly people trying to get negative things from you, and the energy makes you feel bad about yourself. You can’t help it. It’s very hard to find out who you are during all that mess and pressure."

Last year at the American Music Awards, Selena said she didn't want to see anyone's bodies on Instagram. She wanted to see what was in their heart and soul.

It seems like she really meant that. She doesn't need the negativity in her life anymore or the negative energy from social media. Of course, she will always be connected but her days away from the spotlight have helped her realize what really matters and more importantly, who she actually is.
