It's only been a couple of weeks since news broke that Selena Gomez and The Weeknd split up after less than a year of dating.
The couple still has yet to make an official statement about the relationship ending but at this point, they really don't need to as just days later, The Weeknd was seen getting extra cozy and close with a mystery girl in a Toronto nightclub and Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez reunited.
The biggest question, though, is whether or not they are still on good terms and we may have FINALLY gotten an answer.
The Weeknd posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, "happy birthday my brother @frenchmontana . tonight gets hazyyyy." Andddd the "Wolves" singer liked it.
This means two things: 1) Selena still follows him on Instagram and 2) she is happy that he's going out and living his life. (He still follows her too.)
IRL, exes often unfollow each other/shout at them outside a kebab shop/make a voodoo doll of them and jab it with sharp pins (lol) but, in this case, it seems that the former-lovebirds are being uber mature about it all.
Between Selena's career and her health, she has a lot going on and to be feuding with The Weeknd over a split that happened because their schedules were too busy just seems silly.
It feels like they have recognized that even though they aren't together, it doesn't mean there has to be tension. And, they were probably V honest with each other.
There was probably no sneaking around or shady shenanigans. Things just happen, people grow apart and life gets in the way. The fact that they both still follow each other on the gram and she is publicly showing affection for his pics indicates that they have accepted the situation. #GOALS
