After recently revealing she was single following her split from boyfriend and baby daddy Billy Webb, Love Island legend Shaughna Phillips has opened up about her love life on the latest episode of her podcast Oh Baby!
Although she’s back on the market, the reality star – who rose to fame on Love Island 2020 – discussed the possibility of bringing a new man into her and baby daughter Lucia’s life and it appears that she’s not keen on the idea of dating.
But that doesn’t mean that she’s not found love as Shaughna admitted that she’s found a new “soulmate”.
She told co-host Holly Connolly, “I love being a Mum. I have absolutely zero desire to have a relationship with anyone or invite someone into my life. I love just me and my baby, we just crack on with it, and I don't know whether that feeling will ever leave me.
“Is it because she is just so new and I'm in like a little bubble? I'm not sure. But I just feel like I have a friend for life and also I don't feel like I have any energy to try and maintain or develop something new. I just feel like me and my baby are good over here.”
Shaughna revealed her relationship with her daughter was her main priority as she added, “The thought of anyone being in my baby's life that isn't her own family, scares me to no end. And I know not everyone's this big, scary monster in the world but I just think when you've got a child and you're dating, you need to be so much more careful than if you didn't have a child.”
The new soulmate she referred to was, of course, her daughter, with Shaughna concluding, “To me, it's just not worth it - I just feel like there's no relationship in my life that is worth it than the one I have with her. She's my soulmate. I'm so good.”
Earlier this month, Shaughna commented on her split from Billy for the first time as she confirmed she was a single parent on another episode of her podcast.
“I'm going to wear the title as a badge of honour - I don't have any guilt about being a single mum it's just the hand of cards that I was dealt,” she said at the time.
It’s thought that Shaughna and Billy split before Lucia was born, with the 2020 Islander opening up about the late stages of her pregnancy. She explained to OK!, “Obviously, Billy's not around, but I don't want to say that I'm doing it on my own, because I'm absolutely not – my family's incredible. It's going to be different, but I don't want to say it's going to be bad."
Although they were in a long term relationship, Shaughna usually kept her romance with Billy off social media and out of the public eye.
However, she did give fans a couple of rare glimpses of her baby daddy. In one photo she shared on her Instagram story, Billy could be seen wearing a cap revealing just a smidge of dark hair. Billy could be seen resting on her pregnancy belly and Shaughna added the jokey caption, "There's a 91% chance Billy being wee'd on."
Shaughna was forced to deny she was in a secret relationship during her time in Love Island after sharing a photo of her soaking up the sun in Dubai with a mystery man in January 2021.
Alongside the picture, in which Shaughna had covered up her companion’s face, she wrote, “Starting 2021 with the same people I started 2020 with, and feeling very lucky ❤️,” which led some fans to speculate she was dating someone else while taking part in the ITV2 show.
However, a representative for the star later clarified, “Over the past few weeks Shaughna has met someone who she is currently dating. Prior to this Shaughna has been single since before her appearance on Love Island – so in total has been single for two years until now.”
They added, “Love Island has given Shaughna many fantastic commercial opportunities which she is so very grateful for.”

Okay, so Shaughna and Jack were never officially an item BUT she previously name-dropped the 2018 Islander as her celeb crush, leading Jack to tease that he was flying out to South Africa to couple up with her. Shaughna later signed to the same management company as Jack and hinted that a date could be on the cards. At the time, she said, "We're on the same agent company so I'm sure we'll be bumping into each other..."

Another ex-Islander, Love Island 2019's Anton Danyluk also sparked rumours he was dating Shaughna when he shared a joke video of him asking to couple up with her during a trip to Dubai in 2020. Although the whole thing was one big laugh, we have to say that Anton and Shaughna would make for a VERY attractive couple.

Shaughna sent fans into a frenzy in January 2021 when she shared a photo of her cosying up to a mystery man. The Love Island star never confirmed his identity, although it later came to light that she had a secret boyfriend, Billy Webb and she gave birth to their daughter last year.
