For someone who has brought the house down in packed theatres and wowed on the telly for what feels like forever, Sheridan Smith sure doesn’t think she’s all that. Which is nuts because if we were her we’d be telling everyone how great we are.
The actress, who won an Olivier Award for her lead role as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, says she fears her career is going to be over soon and she’ll be finished! Chatting to the Daily Mail Shezza said, “I spend most of my time feeling like I’m totally blagging it through life. I didn’t go to drama school. I just wing it. And I honestly do feel out of my depth.”
Well crikey, If that’s you blagging it, love, then we’d be a bit scared to see what nailing it would look like! We don’t think we could take it. Cilla made us bawl, A Midsummer Night’s Dream made us LOL and Legally Blonde just about killed us.
" I keep my head down. I don't want anybody to spot I'm not a real actor... I hate myself sometimes, just can't be myself. I can only play characters. I wish I had more confidence when I'm being me."
We think you need to be less hard on yourself, Shez. You’re pretty ace and mega talented. Have a pint of shandy (and a packet of crisps LOL) and relax, yeah?
