THIS HAS GOT TO BE A HUGE APRIL FOOL

Simon Cowell has come up with a brutal new way to get rid of unimpressive Britain’s Got Talent contestants.

The music mogul is known for his harsh putdowns and is notoriously difficult to please.

But, rather than dish out some cutting comments when the show returns for its 10th series this year, he’s simply going to drop them through a trapdoor on the stage.

Simon and his fellow judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams all buzz an act off the stage, a trapdoor will open and they will vanish through the floor, according to the Daily Mirror.

A spokesman said: “Simon is always looking to try something new and so for the 10th anniversary the producers wanted to add some extra peril with the trapdoor.

“We know about his mischievous sense of humour, so this element should provoke a lot of fun.

“Hopefully, it will make the acts raise their game, as they won’t want to risk plunging off the stage.”

Britain’s Got Talent returns on Saturday 9 April at 7pm on ITV1.
