Cheryl Fernandez Versini has reportedly been promoted to an ‘executive producer’ role to help revamp the show.
Talking to the* Daily Star Sunday*, the X Factor judge said: “This year Simon wanted me more involved in the decision making. He wanted to know my ideas, what I thought, who I thought would be good.
“I get excited and blurt things out and then he’ll say ‘that’s actually a really good idea. OK so tell us more. What do you think? What would you change?’ And I’d just say, eve n if it’s stuff he thinks is absolutely ridiculous.”
The 32-year-old added: “We have creative moments together. We work really well off camera, just him and me in a meeting. So I’ve a few ideas for him this year.”
Simon said: “It’s true. I naturally consult Cheryl more because she’s been working with me for a long time. She does have great instincts, I’ve got to hand it to her.
She’s passionate about the show and isn’t just in it for the cash. She’s very involved and she’s definetly happier than a year ago, much happier.”
We cannot wait for The X Factor to start.
Rita vs Cheryl fashion
Airport chic
A stylish panama hat is the perfect accessory to keep a low profile at the airport
Electric blue
These ladies love to stand out when it comes to fashion, and bold blue numbers certainly make an impact
White gowns
Both ladies looked amazing in their white cut-out dresses
Jumpsuits
A black jumpsuit is a wardrobe staple. We love Rita's Jean Paul Gaultier ensemble
Colour blocking
Remember Cheryl's infamous outfit on her first day of X Factor USA? Colour blocking is a tricky trend in itself to pull off, let alone with flared trousers too…
Red dresses
Cheryl and Rita turned heads in their majestic full length scarlet gowns. We love Cheryl's Alexander McQueen dress the most though
Metallic minis
Cheryl wore this beautiful gold metallic frock in 2009 but we reckon Rita has the edge in her studded Balmain mini dress
