Simon Cowell ‘offers One Direction £50million deal in bid to keep band together’

One Direction are very special to Simon Cowell after he put them together on the X Factor in 2010, nurtured them and watched them grow into a worldwide phenomenon (plus they make him a load of cash).

So, it’s no surprise he wants to see them stay together for as long as possible after Zayn Malik quit the band last month.

And with news Louis Tomlinson is launching his own record label, Simon has reportedly offered the four remaining boys – Louis, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne – a massive deal in a bid for them to stay united.

The music boss has apparently offered them a whopping £50million to go on another stadium tour next year.

The lads are due to promote their next album, which is due out in November, but they group’s future is uncertain after that.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: “Zayn is gone but the issues are still mounting for the remaining four boys. They have been told to return from their time off to tell Simon what they want.

“Promoters have so much buzz for them that they could sell a world tour out three times over. The offer for the next year would mean another world tour with bigger stadiums and a £50million deal.

“The four have vowed to finish their current tour and get their material together for the next album.”

However, some music industry insiders are said to be worried about the band’s decision as they think refusing to do another tour could be the end for the group.

The source added: “Harry and Niall both have offers to work on other music projects.

“And many people in the 1D camp think it will be the beginning of the end if the boys turn down something as big as another world tour.

“It would be a massive statement to fans that they are all ready to pursue their own ventures.”
