Simon Cowell has finally spoken out about rumours that One Direction will replace Zayn Malik after his shock-exit last from the band last month.

After a tumultuous few weeks for 1D, boss revealed on that they aren’t on the hunt for someone to fill the spot left by Mr. Malik, telling the show’s Richard Arnold that the four remaining members are “doing fine”.

“No I don’t think so, they’re doing fine. When it happened [there was] no warning - nothing - and they just they were still doing these huge tours and they dealt with it,” he said.

Cowell also commented on his co-stars Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Louis Walsh’s fiery relationship, saying, “there was always going to be a clash.” He added: “They’ve never liked each other those two… [When Cheryl was in Girls Aloud] he was their manager. Now Louis managing a girl band, disaster, he just doesn’t do it well.”

Guess that’s cleared that one up, then!
