Simon Cowell clearly suits fatherhood - we love all the cute snaps he shares on social media of his son Eric. And now it sounds like the talent show mogul is ready for his second child - after speaking out about adoption in an interview.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Cowell revealed that he and Lauren Silverman were keen to give Eric a little brother or sister - and were considering adoption.

"Myself and Lauren want to have more children of our own but we could adopt as well. I wouldn’t rule out it happening. It’s a good idea." he said.

“I’m beginning to warm to the idea of adopting." he added.

Simon's close friend Sinitta adopted her children Magdalena and Zac - and he sang their praises: "I like them. I’ve known them since they were really young and they are great kids.”

Speaking about Eric, Simon also revealed to the paper he wanted to teach his son to be "kind to animals" as well as "manners and to not to talk down to people".

But he also added Eric needed to learn the value of money - and he could end up taking over his talent show empire.

“I wanted to sit him there and get used to it because that’s where he’s going to end up. Five more years, a bit of education first and then he can start work.”

Obviously Simon was joking - although it would be adorable if Eric made a cameo in the BGT judges' chair.
