Simon Cowell DOES have feelings, somewhere under that hairy byonic music magnate facade that he displays.
And he ESPECIALLY has emotions when it comes to his precious One Direction. Well, they are worth £70 million. And to Simon, money is the main emotion.
Si went on The Late Late Show and told James Corden:
“I was about to jump off a cliff. I kind of knew this was coming if I’m honest. We’d had a few conversations.
“He wasn’t happy and I said to him that he should stay around a bit longer. And then something in him said, ‘No, I’ve had enough.’
“Once the decision was made I dealt with it. I made sure the guys were OK as they seemed shocked with it as well.”
Presumably, Simon cried tears formed of actual money (and £50 notes at that) while he chatted to James.
“I saw him in person as well - but once someone has made their mind up they are going to go.
“At the same time I don't want to push him too much because he's 22 and I could see he was a bit stressed and needed some time off,” Simon continued in between (presumed) sobs and gulps.
There, there, Simon. It’s all going to be OK. You’ll be looking after Zayn’s new solo album anyway, won’t you? Ah, now those tears have stopped.
