Simon Cowell told Louis Tomlinson to ‘man up’ following his baby news

Simon Cowell isn’t one to mince his words. So when he found out that Louis Tomlinson was going to be a daddy – he didn’t hold back.

Speaking about the One Direction star’s baby news, Simon used the tough love approach and told Louis to “man up” before reminding him that he’s a multi-millionaire and really, it’s not that bad.

In an interview with the Sun, he also explained how he said to Louis: “You're fortunate because you're in a position to be able to look after the baby and not worry about too much else,” before jokingly adding: “He didn't kill anyone, he just got someone pregnant.”

The mother of Louis’ baby, Briana Jungwirth, is said to be holed up in Los Angeles while Louis hunts for a home over their for her to live in. And, by the sounds of it, he’ll have the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Briana once the baby’s born because One Direction are planning on having a rather long break.

“In terms of the band, they’ve got enough hits now they can take some time off and do some other stuff they want to,” Simon said. “Then I hope they’ll have a little bit of time apart and want to get back together again. It’s a fun job, but it’s absolutely their decision.”
