He was the eternal bachelor, but these days, Simon Cowell’s the poster boy for commitment – and it’s all down to his baby mama Lauren Silverman and their five-year-old son Eric.
Now, as the music supremo turns 60, we’re told he’s keen to put a ring on it.
“Si’s mellowed so much in recent years,” an insider tells heat.
“A huge reason for that is Lauren. She keeps him grounded. He openly refers to her as his soulmate."

After initially pulling out of the show following the tragic death of his wife Tanya in July, Vinnie Jones was invited to the live shows by Simon Cowell, with the former footballer saying, "I'd be honoured, she would love me to do it." Sadly, he left the competition in Week 5 with Try Stars.

David Hasselhoff's 27-year-old daughter Hayley was sent packing after her audition. Hayley failed to impress her mentor Louis Walsh, meaning she didn't make it to the live shows.

There’s no denying that Simon, who celebrated his birthday last week, has been on a mission of self-improvement, culminating in a 20lb weight loss and a freshly-tightened face.

But his youthful glow can’t undo the fact that he’s now in his sixties and, according our source, this has made him realise what’s important.
“This milestone is really making him open his eyes to how he wants to spend the next 30 years,” we’re told. “He wants to give Lauren and Eric the fairy- tale ending they deserve.”
