You can always rely on Sinitta to have a thing or two to say about, well anything really.

But today she’s offered us her thoughts on Zayn Malik’s recent problems.

The ‘problems’ we’re referring to are the allegations that Zayn had cheated on his fiancée Perrie Edwards. The 1D star was photographed holding hands with a girl called Lauren Rich, in Phuket, Thailand during a recent night out.

Zayn subsequently caught a plane home from Hong Kong – where the boys were for their world tour – claiming he was suffering from stress.

A statement from the band's PR confirmed: "Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate. The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta."

So what does Sinitta make of it all?

Well the So Macho singer and Simon Cowell’s ex-girlfriend told* The Sun:* "It builds up. It takes its toll. You see a lot of artists go through that.

"You go and go and go and go. You've got youth, adrenaline and excitement to go on. They need to rest."

She wished the star a speedy recovery, adding: "Get well soon, Zayn."

On rumours that he may leave the band for good, Sinitta reassured BBC's Newsbeat: "Nothing like that's been announced."

She also dismissed reports that SyCo record label boss Simon had been putting too much pressure on 1D continuing: "They are hungry, they are excited, they want to go and meet all the fans.

"They're trying to meet all the fans' demands and not leave anybody out, but it's hard to be there for everybody all the time - we've only got one One Direction."

So there you have it – Sinitta says everything’s fine. So everything’s fine, OK?
