Sir Bob Geldof has been burgled as he and his family mourn the anniversary of daughter Peaches Geldof’s death.

Sir Bob’s shed was raided, and a chainsaw, leaf collector and a multi-tool were stolen during the break-in at his country home in Davington Priory, Faversham over the Easter weekend.

A spokesman told The Sun: “Kent Police was called at just before 9.10pm on Saturday 4 April to a report of a shed burglary in Faversham.

“It was reported a chainsaw, leaf collector and a multi-tool were missing from a shed at a property in Priory Road.

“Officers from Kent Police’s burglary unit have investigated and enquiries are ongoing.”

A neighbour of the Boomtown Rats star said: “I am not sure if Bob was there, but I know he was definitely here at some point over the weekend.

“It is a shame for it to happen at any time but even more so because of the anniversary of his daughter’s death.

“I haven’t seen them today and I haven’t heard they were doing anything here in Kent to mark the day.

“The only people who are here right now are a few gardeners and builders who, I believe are surveying the damage.”

Peaches passed away on 7 April last year from a heroin overdose, aged just 25.
