Solange Knowles marries music video director Alan Ferguson

There’s nothing like a good wedding – watching your happy friends or family get married, stuffing yourself with some good food and drink, and dancing the night away while your drunk uncle throws some BRILLIANT shapes that leave you wondering if you need to call an ambulance.

But some nuptials happened this weekend that may have been a classier affair with Solange Knowles and her music video director man Alan Ferguson walking down the aisle.

The couple said “I do” in New Orleans on Sunday in front of around 200 friends and family.

Solange’s sister Beyonce and her rapper beau Jay Z were in attendance and the wedding party dressed all in white with the bride wearing a plunging v-neck, cape and trousers.

Alan wore a white suit with black shoes and casually left his shirt unbuttoned at the collar with no tie.

A source told People: “Beaming. Calm. They looked pretty calm, relaxed on their wedding day. Definitely happy.”

Solange and her bridal party enjoyed a pre-wedding celebration at the Indywood Cinema ahead of the ceremony and watch 1975 movie Mahogany starring Diana Ross.

Cinema owner Hayley Sampson told People: “It was pretty adorable. They were talking about how they met and that they bonded [over] this film and then shows everybody the movie.

“Solange is getting married to a wonderful man on Sunday and they rented out the theatre for a pre-wedding party.

“It was beautiful, they were beautiful, Diana Ross is beautiful, love is beautiful.”
