Friday morning was glorious.
Not only did we wake up listening to Spice (still the best album in the WORLD), we got some amazing news from the girls on the 20th birthday of Wannabe.
Spice Girls may be a thing of the past (which we will never, ever let go of, BTW), but we awoke to the news that Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel B were reuniting to form a spin-off band called GEM, and our hearts skipped a beat.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, it does.
It really, really does.
The threesome, or GEM as every true Spice Girl fan will now refer to them as, are apparently in talks with producers about devising their very own TV show.
Which is a sentence that makes the seven year old in us SQUEAL with excitement.
Although nothing has yet been confirmed, the girls are looking to get themselves a talent show, which probably wouldn’t make Simon Cowell very happy, but it would make us EXTREMELY happy.
All three ex-Spice Girls have done their fair share of talent show judging.
Way back when, Geri was a judge on Popstars: The Rivals (LOL remember that show?) and Australia’s Got Talent. Mel B has done a lot of work with The X Factor and America’s Got Talent, and Emma has hosted the singing competition Don’t Stop Believing.
So their judging credentials, teamed with the fact that they are still the coolest girls in the world in our eyes, means they are more than qualified to have their own talent show.
We’re behind you a MILLION percent, ladies.
Zig-a-zig-ah.
