Yesterday (10th December) Spice Girl Melanie Brown revealed how she had sustained some nasty injuries including two broken ribs and a severed right hand, requiring emergency surgery. Now, the 'Viva Forever' singer has taken to social media again to reveal that her group mates, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm have come to pay her a visit in hospital.

Mel B took to Instagram to post a Boomerang of the three girls sitting around her hospital bed, captioning her post, 'When your besties show up to hospital with hugs laughter and ALOT of love, ahhhh I love my spice girls yipppeee #friendship #family #spicegirls'. [sic]

In the Boomerang, Mel B can be seen in good spirits, lying on her hospital bed with the cast on her right arm fully visible. This comes a day after Mel B took to Instagram to reveal the extent of her horrifying injuries with a photo of her right arm in a purple sling.

Telling her fans of her injuries, Mel B thanked the hospital staff after she had three hours of emergency surgery on her severed hand.

As a result of her hospital stay, Mel B has had to miss a book signing in New York as she told her fans, ''I’ve had to unfortunately cancel my book signing today in NY,I appolagise to each and everyone one of you who bought there tickets to meet me today😩I’m absolutely gutted but I can assure you it WILL happen at a later date'. [sic]

Although Mel B herself hasn't told fans how she got these terrible injuries, Gary Madatyan, a close friend of the pop star told PEOPLE that it was due to a fall down a narrow staircase. "She was upstairs and the room was dark. Everyone knows one of her eyes does not see 100 percent," he explained.
