When one of the world's biggest superstars approaches you to do a duet, it's likely as a singer you accept - especially when that superstar is Adele and doesn't normally do out of the blue performances.
Yet, according to Mel C, the Spice Girl's opted NOT to do a duet with the Grammy award winner because they didn't want her to show up their vocal skills.
Ouch - was that a dig at Adele or her bandmates?
Speaking to The Sun about the potential performance that would have been in June, Mel said, “I heard a rumour that she did want to come up and do 2 Become 1. But we said no because, who wants to sing with Adele?”
However, Adele was offended as she later posed for photos with Mel alongside Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner, revealing she idolised the group when growing up in Tottenham.

But if the women change their mind, Adele may soon be up on the stage with them as Mel suggested the girls aren't ready to stop performing just yet.
She confessed, “I’d love to do more shows. It was so loved by so many people and we have fans all over the world.
“And we have fans we have never gone to, whether it be in South East Asia, South America or even Australia.”

Adele could even replace Victoria Beckham, who chose not to return with the girls for their UK tour, with Mel adding she understood why the fashion designer didn't want to return.
She confessed, “Victoria s**t herself when we did it [the 2012 London Olympics], not literally, but she was very nervous when we were at the Olympic Stadium. And you know what? It’s completely understandable. Her life has changed so much and she has worked so hard."
“She’s at the top of her game in a very different industry and for her to come back to performing, she was petrified.
“I think if the nerves are that uncomfortable and it kind of outweighs the joy that you get from the performance, then I understand.”
However, there may be hope as Mel suggested if the Spice Girls ever headlined Glastonbury, Victoria would be up for a comeback.
Here's to hoping.
