They’re about to embark on a UK tour of stage play 2:22 A Ghost Story together, but it may not be Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton’s only collaboration this year – as a source tells heat the couple are hoping it could bring the added bonus of a second baby!
‘Stacey has admitted that she and Kevin don’t have time for romance since becoming parents. But she can’t wait to have more children, and wants it to happen soon – they just never get any time together,’ we’re told.
‘But this summer, they’ll be touring the country and, while they can’t wait to work together, Stacey says this could also be the perfect opportunity to get pregnant again.’
Stacey, 38, and Kevin, 42 – who met when they were partnered up on Strictly together in 2018 – welcomed their daughter Minnie, two, back in January 2023. Stacey previously admitted that while Kevin was away touring with the musical Chicago, the pair let intimacy fall by the wayside. She said, ‘Maybe when Kev is back on the scene, we will start remembering how you have sex.’
However, she’s looking forward to reprising her role as Jenny in the 2:22 tour, after starring in the West End production last year, and is hoping that hitting the road with Kevin – who will play on-stage husband Sam – will give them plenty of time to reconnect.
‘Since Stacey’s mum will be helping out with childcare, Stacey says she can’t wait to spend quality time with Kevin, as she knows they’ve both neglected their relationship. She is so excited to work with him again and is hoping their post-tour bonus will be another child,’ the insider continues.
Stacey recently admitted that, while being a mum wasn’t the ‘be all and end all’ for her, it’s the ‘best thing’ she’s ever done. And our source adds, ‘Stacey never thought she would enjoy motherhood as much as she has – she didn’t know she would be so obsessed with Minnie. She’s so grateful that Kevin feels the same way, and that they are so dedicated to being parents.
‘They’re both looking forward to time together just being Stacey and Kevin, as well as planning for their future.’
