If you – like us – have always wanted to see a day in the life of a woman who manages to feed five kids, pose for a photo shoot, jet-wash a patio, build a duck enclosure and capture it all for Instagram, you’re in luck. Stacey Solomon will be starring in a new reality show, which will follow her and Joe Swash’s blended family at home in Pickle Cottage.
Stacey, 34, first met Joe, 42, back in 2010, when she was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity… and Joe was presenting the spin-off show Get Me Out Of Here, Now!. The pair tied the knot in 2022 at Pickle Cottage after a two-year engagement, and they’ve shared every step of their relationship with the public through social media. However, this new show will bring us closer than ever to the Solomon-Swashes, as they invite us through the doors of their £1.2million home. While this is an exciting new venture for the pair, it won’t be the couple’s first time on TV together, as Joe frequently appears on Sort Your Life Out and they are regular fan favourites on Celebrity Gogglebox.
The new reality show, Escape To Pickle Cottage, will air on the BBC and be produced by the same team behind Stacey’s successful feel-good series Sort Your Life Out, which has also been renewed for a fifth season. The fly-on-the-wall programme will follow Joe and Stacey as they juggle work with parenting their six children – Joe’s son Harry, 17, Stacey’s sons Zachary, 16 and Leighton, 12, plus their kids together, Rex, five, and daughters Rose, two, and Belle, 17 months.
Let’s hope it’s not only the human members of the family who’ll be appearing on the show – we want to see plenty of pet pooches Teddy and Peanut, not to mention Daisy and Delilah the ducks.
