heat’s brilliant Jo Parkerson caught up with the amazing Gwendoline Christie while she was in town for the European premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And, along with our nosy questions about the new film, we wanted to know about Game Of Thrones.
But it seems working on the most closely guarded TV series EVER has been good practise for Gwen, who played Brienne of Tarth in the show, because she’ll never give anything away. In short, the acting legend has become very good at telling porkies.
“There is so much secrecy surrounding Game Of Thrones so I’ve learnt that I don’t ever talk about work,” Gwendoline tells* heat*. “My friends have never asked me anything.”
So is she a good liar now? “Yes,” Gwen admits. “I would say so. It wasn’t a shock because of Game Of Thrones.”
No spoilers for us then. Gwen did admit she used to love playing Star Wars dress up as a kid though.
“I was Princess Leia, I had a pair of brown, fake fur ear muffs and I was also Han Solo,” Gwen laughs. “I had the force – only as a child! It’s escaped me as I got older.”
It definitely didn't, Gwen!
