Love Island's Mimii Tafara as Beyoncé for Cowboy Carter
Speaking about the shoot, Love Island 2024 winner Mimii Tafara told us, 'The shoot was really good fun. I didn’t really know what to expect, but that’s what made it great – expect the unexpected, right? I was so excited to have my little alter-ego moment when I found out I was dressing up as Beyoncé, though.
'I love her song Desert Eagle – I used it on one of my videos the other day. Life has been mad since Love Island, but I’m more used to it now. Before, it was a whole new world to me, but now I kind of know what to expect, although it still hasn’t sunk in properly. I’m still like, “Woah, now this is my life!”'
Pssst: We hate to break the illusion, but Mimii wasn’t actually sitting on the horse Bey had for her shoot. Queen B’s horse was called Chardonneigh, so we joked that the saddle perched on a box Mimii posed on was called Savvy B. We were in awe of Mimii’s strong core as she managed to hold those amazing shapes for ages to make sure we got the perfect shot.
Vicky Pattison as Taylor Swift
Opening up about the shoot Vicky Pattison told us, 'I don’t know if a lot of people know this about me, but I’m a major Swiftie. I feel loathe to admit it, though, because I haven’t always been. I’ve always liked her, but you know what the real game-changer was for me? Her and Travis Kelce. I fancy him – even with his weirdo porn ’tache, I still would.
'Taylor and I have both kissed our fair share of frogs, but I would absolutely like to think she’s found her happily-ever- after in the same way I’ve found mine. I’m really rooting for them – if Travis and Taylor don’t end up together forever, I’m going to burn the world to the ground.'
Pssst: Vicky flew back from her epic Italian wedding just days before we met up. Still very much basking in her newlywed glow, Vicky told us her new hubby Ercan Ramadan was gutted not to have been invited to our shoot, after the couple previously dressed up as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. ‘No, babe. Unfortunately, they’re divorced now, so it’s just me today,’ she told him.
Katie Price as Wicked's Elphaba and Glinda
'I was really looking forward to the Wicked shoot as I’ve never been painted before! My son Harvey is obsessed with the colour green – he’s constantly putting green face filters on us at home, so I can’t wait to show him the photos from the shoot. He’s going to love it,' Mrs Pricey told us.
'It’s hard to pick whether I preferred dressing as Glinda or Elphaba. I’d probably say Elphaba, just because I’ve been so used to wearing wigs over the years, so it was fun to do something different – and be wicked! But I also loved the make-up for Glinda, and just being all theatrical for the day.'
Pssst: The green make-up came off in less than five minutes. And while Katie channelled Elphaba and Glinda like a natural, what the camera didn’t capture was her fluffy grey slippers – which remained on her feet for the entire day, even when the pics were taken. We think the Wizard of Oz would approve!
Jedward as Liam and Noel Gallagher from Oasis
Edward: I am so overwhelmed doing this – I honestly feel like I’m in Oasis, going on this massive stadium tour. I think they’ve literally taken over my body! This experience has been absolutely mind- blowing. I’ll never forget this day.
John: I’m channelling the music… I’m challenging the vibes… I’m ready to go off and write some bangers!
(Suddenly channelling the Gallaghers)
Edward: The only difference between us and Jedward is the hair.
John: We saw the bond that Jedward have together, and how they’ve stuck at it for about 15 years now – no fights, no big tiffs. We said, ‘You know what? Let’s get the band back together. Let’s be more like Jedward. Let’s get the music rolling. We’ll do it for the fans.
Pssst: If you thought spending time with Jedward would be a whirlwind of chaos… you were right! From the moment the boys walked into the studio, we were treated to impromptu singalongs, a sneak preview of their Christmas song, and multiple Oasis impersonations. As Edward told us, ‘Everyone’s always surprised we have so much energy, but I’m just being a pop star.’ And yes, the boys did manage to get tickets to go and see Oasis next year.
