Yesterday was a sad day for Stereo Kicks fans – the band performed their final gig and went their separate ways after forming on the X Factor last year.

The boys – Barclay Beales, Chris Leonard, Tom Mann, James Graham, Reece Bibby, Jake Sims, Casey Johnson and Charlie Jones – released a statement about the split on their Facebook page last week.

It read: “We all feel the time has come for us to now continue our journeys individually. We have learnt first-hand just how tough the industry is as an unsigned act. Unfortunately, due to these circumstances, we are no longer able to carry on as a band.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we will be forever grateful for all of your hard work, support and love. We can’t thank you enough.”

The group went on to perform their last ever sold out show at Thorpe Park’s Island Beats yesterday and they have since thanked fans for their support.

Charlie tweeted: “Thank you everybody! This has been the best year of my life with these other seven brothers, not friends. BROTHERS.”

Casey added: “Very emotional. I can’t stress how much I wanted this to work. You’re well and truly the best fans EVER. The hard work you guys have put in is AMAZING!

“Something I will never forget!!! All the Love.”

Jake wrote: “So that was our last gig as Stereo Kicks. From the beginning right to the end we owe it all to you. Thank you for everything.”

Tom posted: “The only act to SELL OUT Thorpe Park. Doesn’t make sense to us. But what does make sense – you’re the best fans we could’ve ask for.”

James tweeted: “Wow... What an emotional night.. I love and cherish every memory with you all... I love you so much!!!”

And Reece wrote: “Well, it’s all over. Thanks @THORPEPARK for having us. Thank you guys for everything you have ever done for us. You’re all stars x.”

Last week, Chris tweeted: “I love you all and I hope you come with me on the next part of my journey as a solo artist! You all mean the world to me! Thank you xxx.”

Yesterday, in an exclusive interview with heatworld, Barclay said: “Thank you so much to everyone that supported us through the X Factor and through the single release. You’ve been absolutely amazing and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.”

Naww, we’re sure we’ll see you around soon!
