Game of Thrones fans rejoice, because Ned Stark is set to return to our screens once more for season six – hurrah!
But before you start coming up with theories on how he manages to awaken from the dead, we should probably tell you that the character is coming back in flashback form, as a young Ned Stark. Soz.
13-year-old Sebastian Croft has been cast to fill the extremely large boots of adult-actor Sean Bean as the mini-Stark.

During the flashback scene, Ned will be facing some conflict with an older boy, who is thought to be a young Robert Baratheon, back in the day when the two characters grew up together in Eyrie.

Ned met his bloody end way back in series one, after he was executed by new evil Joffrey after the death of Robert, and then it pretty much all kicked off with a fully-fledged civil war. Obviously.
We can’t wait to see Ned back in action, even if it is a fun-sized version of him. We wonder if he used to bang on about winter coming when he was a kid, as well…
