Yesterday we heard the sad news that James Jordan and Artem Chigvintsev wouldn’t be back for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Producers of the show confirmed that James – who has been on the show for eight years – won’t be taking part in the next series after he turned down a smaller role he was offered in the series.
A spokeswoman for* Strictly* told The Mirror, “James Jordan was offered a role still on the show. It wasn't to be partnered with a celebrity, but it was to be involved in specials such as Children in Need, that sort of thing. But he declined that. He was offered a reduced role on the show."
And now James has lashed out at the BBC for ‘sacking’ him.
He tweeted: "WELL TWEEPS Yes it's true I WILL NOT be returning to 'BURN THE FLOOR'.... Sorry, I mean 'Strictly Come Dancing' However........"
".........do not believe everything the BBC have written in their statement."
Unlike James, it looks like Artem has left on friendly terms.
The 31-year-old has decided to stay in the US - where he appears on Dancing With The Stars - to resolve issues he’s been having with his visa.
Writing on Twitter, he said: "I want to say thank you to all my followers for your endless support I will miss SCD, UK very very much let's hope my visa situation will change in the future that is the reason I decide to stay in US to sort my citizenship."
