Legendary Apprentice star Stuart Baggs died as a result of his asthma, an official investigation has ruled.

The 27-year-old businessman, who appeared on the BBC show back in 2010, was found dead at an address on the Isle of Man last week.

An initial police investigation found there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his “untimely” death.

But officials have now uncovered his asthmatic condition and concluded that it caused his passing.

The coroner's statement said: "Mr Baggs had suffered from asthma for many years and died as a result of his condition."

Inspector Michelle McKillop said today: “It is clear that this is a tragic and premature loss of such a hardworking and visionary young man.

“We extend our thoughts to the family at this sad time."

Stuart’s one-time mentor Lord Alan Sugar paid tribute to the youngest ever Apprentice candidate after the news broke last week.

“Terrible news Stuart Baggs has died. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. RIP one of the stand out characters of the Apprentice,” he tweeted.

Even Katie Hopkins found something nice to say about Stuart, writing in her newspaper column that he was very different in real life to his on-screen persona.

“I think the distance between Stuart the brand and Stuart the man was vast,” she added.

“Without a family or kids who need you, the media can be a tough industry to work in. Sometimes you need the mundane in life to remind you that what matters most is not being seen as successful, but helping the people you love the most to be OK.”

Our thoughts are with Stuart's friends and family.
