He might be swanning around, singing catchy tunes in La La Land now, but Ryan Gosling hasn’t always been cast in glitzy glam roles.

Like many celebs, he had to start somewhere.

They’ve ALL done cheesy commercials – we’re looking directly at you, Leonardo DiCaprio and Mila Kunis – and isn’t it just a GEM when we rediscover them years later?

If you fancy a few minutes of severe cringing, watch the aforementioned actors BEFORE they were famous here.

There’s also a lol clip of Brad Pitt, and we can’t even.

But Ryan Gosling’s pre-fame climb to the pinnacle of Hollywood’s ‘H’ included a stint in an episode of nineties classic TV show, Goosebumps.

Remember those books where you got to choose the ending? There was even one that had a skull with actual flashing eyes on the front.

TERRIFYING.

The only thing to match the Goosebumps’ terror was Are You Afraid of The Dark, because that had a bunch of kids sat around telling ghost stories around a creepy AF bonfire in the middle of the forest. (And, by the way, where the hell were their parents?)

So when Ryan’s starring role in an epsiode called Say Cheese and Die resurfaced, it was all too much.

If you already knew about this, then watch it again anyway because it’s pure gold.

But if you DIDN’T know, then you a mill per cent need to watch it straight away because it’s pure gold.

It starts with that all-too-familiar montage of a dog with weird glowing eyes and the letter ‘G’ going into a terrifying house.

We’re getting serious chills just thinking about it all.

In the episode, Ryan and his mates steal a camera from a scary house but taking pictures with it has SCARY consequences.

See it in all its nostalgic glory here. And you’ll probs still need to watch from behind your fingers.
