This morning, the internet went absolutely MENTAL when a rumour started about a certain pop star (Miss Taylor Swift) being carried around in a suitcase by two rather hench gentlemen.
It all stemmed from a picture which was shared by Splash News, and captioned: “Taylor Swift being transported in a huge suitcase from her Tribeca apartment into her truck.”
How. Bizarre.
It was an iconic showbiz moment, and nobody could really work out what was going on. Was she hiding from the papparazzi? Was she really flexible enough to stuff herself inside a suitcase? Wasn’t it cramped? HOW DID ANYBODY EVEN KNOW THAT SHE WAS IN THE BOX?!
We found the whole situation pretty hilarious here at heat hq. And so did Twitter:
But don’t get too excited guys. We’re sorry to bring you the news that Tay Tay isn’t Mary Poppins and she isn’t a contortionist.
In fact, she wasn’t in a suitcase after all… (sob!)
Just hours after the picture went viral, Splash News took back heir original statement, and told Spin.com: “I literally just put the phone down from someone on Taylor’s camp, we’re having to actually retract that.”
Well, that’s the end of that then. It was fun while it lasted.
