As one of the world’s most famous stars, it’s no surprise that Taylor Swift is worth a bob or two – but did you know her cat is also mega-rich? With “nepo babies” (aka celeb kids who are also finding fame) taking the world by storm, it seems only fitting that Tay’s own furry fam are included.
The singer’s Scottish Fold moggy Olivia Benson – named after the popular Law & Order: SVU character – is apparently the world’s third-richest pet. From Diet Coke adverts to appearances on Taylor’s world tours, Olivia has built her own feline empire.
Supposedly worth $97million, a recent report stated, “Olivia has found success outside of the world of Instagram influencing, earning her fortune starring alongside her owner in several music videos, creating her own merchandise line, and cameos in big-budget ads.”
Loved by Swifties across the world, Olivia ranked above other famous pets, such as Oprah’s dogs and the late Karl Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette. But while Olivia found herself topping the list, Taylor’s other cats Meredith and Benjamin were not on the pet rich list. All three often appear on Tay’s social media, as well as on long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn’s Instagram.
And as a self-proclaimed cat lady, Taylor’s felines have very much become a major part of her brand, with the 33 year old calling them “the most influential factor in my life.”
