If there’s one rule we, as a human race, should have learnt by now, it’s this: don’t EVER get on the wrong side of Taylor Swift, because you’ll probably end up the subject of one of her songs.
But it seems Olly Murs may have done just that after hitting out at the American star for singing about her ex, Harry Styles.
Former X Factor star Olly recently spoke out saying Taylor should stop writing about her One Direction ex-flame Harry after their split last year.
But Shake It Off warbler Taylor is having none of it and, while she didn't mention Olly's name, she lashed out at her critics, saying: “I think frankly that’s a very sexist angle to take. No one says that about Ed Sheeran. No one says it about Bruno Mars.
“They’re all writing songs about their exes, their current girlfriends, their love life, and no one raises a red flag there.
“The most important thing to me is about maintaining artist integrity.”
Ah yes, the old artist integrity. SO IMPORTANT!
Harry is said to be the subject of Taylor’s tune Out Of The Woods and Olly stood up for his 1D pal after hearing the track, saying: “Come on, let it go. Write something new that isn’t about Harry. Bless him, it’s been like two years and he’s still getting lashed out, isn’t he?”
