Kanye West has sent Taylor Swift some “really cool flowers”. Well, that's how Tay Tay described them on Instagram, anyway. We’re worried we might confuse such a square floral arrangement for a small stool or an oversized marshmallow, but if Taylor’s happy then by Jove so are we.
Taylor shared a picture of herself looking pleased and standing in front of the flowers on Instagram, which she captioned with the hashtag #KanTay2020, jokingly putting herself forward as Kanye's running mate for the American presidential election. Oh, and then she added the hashtag "BFFs" to really drive the point home.
The gift marks the end of what has been a momentous week for Taylor and Kanye’s at times fractious relationship. Last Sunday, Taylor presented Kanye with the MTV VMA Video Vanguard Award, and he used his acceptance speech to detail how he had gatecrashed Taylor’s own speech at the same awards show six years ago. Remember the one? It consisted of Kanye insolently suggesting that Beyoncé was a more deserving winner of the accolade. Pah.
Anyhow, Taylor has spoken since then about how the two stars have healed their rift, crediting her friendship with Jay-Z for their current cordiality.
And if that gigantic floral assemblage is anything to go by, Kanye’s still doing everything he can to make up for his bad behaviour.
