Not following your new beau on social media is the 2016 version of not calling after a date.
So naturally we were extremely fascinated by the news that Tom Hiddleston had joined Instagram. Firstly because he’s Tom Hiddleston and he’s fit AF. Secondly because we’re so baffled by WTAF is going on with his and Taylor’s relationship and we want to know MORE.
Seriously – we were borderline more confused by these two than we were about Cheryl and Liam Payne. And we’ve only just stopped reeling from that news.
There were a few conspiracy theories about their relationship – publicity stunt? Hoax? The most elaborate Taylor Swift music video EVER?
So we didn’t quite know what to make of the fact they didn’t immediately follow each other then go on a liking spree of all their photos. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Realistically, it probably just meant they’re mature adults with lives apart from social media.

But Tom has FINALLY followed Tay Tay, and she SWIFTly followed back (soz).
We’re sure Taylor will be pleased they’re now social media offish – as Tom was recently awarded the Rear of the year award 2016.
He's also following Disney Studios - fair enough.
Tom Hiddleston won the coveted award after he flashed his buns in BBC spy drama The Night Manager (we saw it, and can confirm he’s a worthy winner).
He beat off competition from Idris Elba, Andy Murray and Jamie Dornan!
If you’re wondering how the winners are chosen (and whether there is some sort of judging panel you can join), the public voted between July 2015 and June 2016. Tom racked up a massive 10,000 votes, so he’s pretty bloody worthy if you ask us.
Meaniwhile, Kim Kardashian has hinted at the reason why she released THAT tape of Taylor (if you don’t know what one – where on EARTH have you been?)
In a video she filmed with best mate Jonathan Cheban, she seems to throw some serious shade Taylor’s way by discussing “clapping back”.
She says: “When I feel like someone’s being fake is the time that I’ll say something. And it’s usually really publicly. I personally take the high road most of the time.
“I just don’t care. I always think: ‘Will I be affected by it in a week? Will I be affected in a month, or in a year?’ And the answer is usually: ‘No.’”
