Shocking news that will strike dread into the very hearts of Britain’s elderly now, and Tim Wonnacott off Bargain Hunt has been suspended – some say AXED – after a difference of opinion with producers.
According to the Sun, 62-year-old Tim is “highly unlikely” to return to the BBC show since leaving last Friday, despite being its presenter since 2003.

“Bargain Hunt comes across as a really upbeat and friendly show, but off camera there is a lot of tension,” a source told the newspaper.
“Tim is very old school and definitely not scared to voice his opinion. He can come close to the line.”
A BBC rep said: “Tim is not currently in production on Bargain Hunt. We wouldn’t comment on individual staff matters.”
Tim, who was on Strictly Come Dancing last year, said in a statement: “I am not doing Bargain Hunt at the moment for personal reasons.”
Weird, huh?
It comes after Jeremy Clarkson was suspended from the BBC’s flagship programme Top Gear after punching a producer in a row over food.
His contract was not renewed, despite pleas from the actual prime minister, and his position was later given to Chris Evans ahead of the new series this autumn.
