Despite Coronation Street actress Tina O'Brien co-parenting her 10-year-old daughter Scarlett with her ex-boyfriend, Celebrity Big Brother champ Ryan Thomas, Tina has seemingly stirred the pot following Ryan's announcement that his fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh is expecting the couple's first child.
Following Ryan and Lucy's adorable announcement, which involved Scarlett finding out she was going to become a big sister in one of the CUTEST videos ever to grace the Internet, Tina has posted a cryptic message online, leaving fans to speculate.
In a post which has now been deleted, Tina shared the words, 'Don't always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar'.
Whilst many of Tina's co-stars were quick to comment with laughing emojis, a number of eagle-eyed fans were quick to speculate that the post was about her ex-boyfriend and his new fiancée.
One fan wrote, 'I hope this isn't about the baby announcement. If it is then maybe you should speak to Ryan and Lucy privately rather than make a social media swipe.'
Another then advised the actress to delete her post, writing, 'Delete this. It just looks jealous'.
Tina, who plays the role of Sarah Platt in Corrie, did eventually take her post down, replacing it with another quote, reading, 'Don't waste your time with explanations. People will hear that they want to hear'. [sic]
It comes just days after Ryan and Lucy announced they were expecting their first child together, with Lucy posting a cute photo of the parents-to-be holding up a baby grow. Lucy wrote, 'Best birthday present I’ve ever had 👶🤰 love you @ryanthomas84 ❤️'. [sic]
The couple, who announced their engagement two months ago, then delighted their fans even more by sharing a video of Ryan's daughter Scarlett finding out the news. Ryan wrote on Instagram, '....when Scarlett found out she was going to have a little brother or sister. @lucymeck1 ❤'. [sic]
