So... this is awkward. It seems that not just one, but TWO celebs have been shamed today... and it's all because of their actions on social media.
Both Tinie Tempah and Little Mix's Jesy Nelson have caused uproar on Twitter today, after they both tweeted during the Armistice Day two minute silence. Eeek.
While the two minute silence is supposed to be spent paying respect to those who have lost their lives fighting for our country, it appears that both stars posted tweets during that time - and their fans weren't happy.
Tinie Tempah, who posted a tweet about Kylie and Kendall Jenner, was slammed by fans who would not back down about Tinie’s inability to time his tweets outside of the two minute window – while the country fell silent to honour war heroes.
The tweet, which read “Everyone’s always hyping about Kylie but Kendall is slyly the dark horse out of them all… Watch this space”, was posted at 11am exactly. To which an angry follower replied “it is sad that so called “role models” show no recognition or gratitude. I know who the real celebs are”. Another upset tweeter said “@TinieTempah tweeting whilst the rest of the country were silent remembering the fallen. Come on, sjow some respect?”. Oops.
The star soon defended himself, tweeting “Wait.. I can’t tweet in silence? :-S”, with other fans supporting him in that he wasn’t actually speaking by posting a simple tweet. Both tweets were then deleted by Tinie.
Another celeb, Jesy Nelson from Little Mix, posted an Instagram snap on the bands page at 11.01am. The pic was a simple selfie with a caption expressing how much she loves her fans – a post that some fans weren’t impressed with. AT ALL.
We know y’all didn’t mean it disrespectfully guys – but maybe tweets should be timed better in future. Just sayin’!
