Is Tom Daley going to be a dad? Diver opens up about future life with boyfriend Dustin Lance Black

Tom Daley and his boyfriend Dustin Lance Black keep themselves to themselves most of the time but they seem pretty loved-up, don’t they?

Well, it seems things are getting VERY serious for the couple – Tom says he could be a dad within the next year.

Diver Tom, who came out as gay in 2013 and later revealed he was dating screenwriter Dustin, has opened up about what he thinks he’ll be like as a parent and admits he thinks he’ll be the one to discipline his children.

The sportsman told The Guardian: “[Dustin’s] very strict at his work, but people he loves, he finds it very difficult to say anything. He wouldn’t be able to shout at the kids or tell them off.

“I’d like to think I would be fun, but also try to teach them all the lessons they need to learn, that you don’t get anything without hard work – I’d like to pass on the lessons I had in my childhood.”

Tom is currently keeping himself busy training for the 2016 Olympic Games but it seems he’s found the time to think about his future family life.

He said: “It could be in a year, five years, 10 years. I’ve always loved the thought of having kids... Ideally I’d like to have one of each.”

We reckon you’ll make a great dad, Tom!
