Tom Daley has revealed some pretty romantic details about his proposal to Dustin Lance Black.

And some fairly uncomfortable-sounding details too…

In an interview with* OUT* magazine, Tom, 21, said: “I had the ring box in my underwear, and when he came out of the bathroom, I just went down on my knee and proposed.

“Then he ran off to the bathroom to get his rings, and he had this whole speech prepared, but he's a writer so his was quite extravagant.”

Tom and 41-year-old screenwriter Dustin can be seen on the cover of* OUT* magazine’s ‘Love Issue’ wearing matching pyjamas. Adorable.

The couple – who got engaged in September – spoke about their whirlwind romance with Dustin saying about their chance encounter at a US awards show: “Tom had just won an award at some Nickelodeon TV show, and they were planning to celebrate, and I said, ‘I've got to go home; I have a script to write.’ And Tom took my phone, and he typed his number in with a winky face.”

It’s like a modern-day fairy tale. Sort of…
