There’s been a rise of posh actors appearing on our screens lately, so we at heat have done you a massive favour and put together our list of top toff totty.
From Harrow to Eton, these actors have had a pretty top-notch upbringing, and they’ve turned out quite easy on the eye too.
You can thank us later. With wine and/or cake.
Tom Hiddleston
He attended the Dragon School, a preparatory school in Oxford (fancy pants) before boarding at Eton College from the age of 13.
And his laugh is totally adorable…
Benedict Cumberbatch
Benedict grew up in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and was an arts scholar at Harrow School.
His grandfather was a submarine officer in both World Wars, and his great-grandfather was Queen Victoria’s consul general in Turkey and Lebanon.
Damian Lewis
Like Tom Hiddleston, Damian was educated at Eton College and was also a stage actor for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
His maternal grandfather was Sir Ian Bowater, Lord Mayor of London, and his maternal grandmother’s ancestors include Lord Dawson of Penn (a doctor to the Royal Family) and the philanthropist Alfred Yarrow.
Dominic West
Another Eton alumni, there were claims that he was at school at the same time as Prime Minister David Cameron, but Dominic has denied this.
You can see him getting naked A LOT in his most recent TV series The Affair, if you fancy that…
Eddie Redmayne
Eddie went to Eton College and was in the same year as Prince William! He then went to Trinity College, Cambridge, to study History of Art.
Kit Harrington
Best known for playing uber-northern Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, Kit’s actually very well spoken.
His ancestors include baronets, politicians, clergymen and earls and Kit’s eight times great-grandfather was Charles II of England!
Now that’s was we call PROPER POSH.
Henry Cavill
He attended a private preparatory school before attending the independent Stowe School in Buckinghamshire.
He also starred in The Tudors as Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk, which was a pretty posh role.
Yes, we did only just mention that for the gif.
James Norton
James attended a boarding independent school and went on to study Theology at Fitzwilliam College at the University of Cambridge, graduating with First Class Honours.
Check him out!
Andrew Garfield
Although born in LA, Andrew was raised in England from the age of three, attending Priory Preparatory School and then the City of London Freemen’s School, before training at the Central School of Speech and Drama at the University of London.
Even the names of these places sound posh.
Prince Harry
Obvs, we all know Harry is part of THE ROYAL FAMILY and not an actor, but we couldn’t not mention him in the list, right?
Like many others on this list, he attended Eton College, which actually went against Windsor family tradition of attending Gordonstoun.
We do love a bad boy.
