The Wanted star Tom Parker has posted a defiant message on Instagram following the devastating announcement of his inoperable brain tumour diagnosis earlier this month.

32-year-old Tom - who quietly welcomed his second baby with wife Kelsey last week - shared a photo of his daughter Aurelia as he told fans he's 'fighting' for her.

Making his return to social media following the heartbreaking announcement, Tom captioned the picture, "You are everything worth fighting for! @aureliaroseparker;" with friends and fans alike quick to show their support.

TOWIE's James 'Arg' Argent commented, "She sure is ❤️", with former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips saying, "My darling she is beautiful. Thinking of you with love and the wonderful time I had watching you achieve all the amazing lifts in Grease so brilliantly."

Tom's post comes after former The Wanted bandmate and Strictly 2020 contestant Max George confirmed the birth of his second child earlier this week.

Speaking on Lorraine, Max said, "I spoke to him yesterday, he’s doing good, he’s doing great.

"Kelsey gave birth to their second child last week. He’s a fighter Tom, Tom will be alright. If he’s watching by the way, I love you all."

Tom bravely announced his terminal diagnosis on Instagram earlier this month, telling fans, "Hey guys, you know that we’ve both been quiet on social media for a few weeks and it’s time to tell you why. There’s no easy way to say this but I’ve sadly been diagnosed with a Brain Tumour and I’m already undergoing treatment.

"We decided, after a lot of thought, that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way.

"We are all absolutely devastated but we are gonna fight this all the way. We don’t want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options. It’s gonna be a tough battle but with everyone’s love and support we are going to beat this. Tom and Kelsey xxx"
