Jeremy Clarkson’s Top Gear co-host James May has opened up about Jezza’s recent suspension.

He’s been suspended from the BBC after he allegedly punched a producer when he was told there was no food being provided during filming.

Yes, really…

Speaking to BBC News outside his home today, James insisted that the incident was not that serious.

"I don't have anything to say about Jeremy that isn't already in the statement," he said.

When asked if Jeremy was innocent, he replied: "Of what?"

The reporter pointed out that Jeremy has been accused of aiming a punch at a producer, prompting James to reply: "I think he's been involved in a dust-up, and I don't think it's that serious."

But don’t worry about Jeremy – 600,000 of his fans have now signed a petition calling for his reinstatement.

Great…
