Posing with products for cash on Instagram appears to be a rite of passage for Love Islanders – and this year is no exception.
Since leaving the villa, many of the contestants’ Instagrams have been swarmed with #spon posts, advertising everything from detox teas to protein shakes to clothing brands.
The worst offenders this year are prob Jess Shears and Dom Lever – but most of them are at it in some shape or form.
Yet while the Love Islanders are being inundated with offers, it seems other reality stars are being forgotten about and shunned by brands they previously had deals with – most notably the TOWIE lot.
And rumours are circulating that the TOWIE cast are “furious” at the Love Islanders for stealing their business.
An insider told The Sun: “The cast are furious – every time they see someone from Love Island promoting a product online, they know it’s a deal that would have gone to a TOWIE person in the past.
“They all think that the Love Islanders are charging lower fees and undercutting the TOWIE lot. It’s so frustrating for everyone. They’re all having to drop their fees from £500 a post to £300 a post in order to get work.
"They’re fuming – they’ve been on TOWIE for so many series and now Love Island have come along, been on one series of a show, got way more followers and they’re stealing their business.”
The insider said the only area Love Islanders are charging more than the TOWIE lot is personal appearances – apparently Love Islanders are getting up to £5000 just for turning up at a club.
It’s also annoyed the TOWIE gang how quickly the Love Islanders have landed fashion deals. A number of the girls, including Olivia Attwood, Montana Brown and Amber Davies have done so already, while many of the boys have secured modelling contracts with big brands.
In comparison, only a small handful of the TOWIE cast have landed deals, despite having been on TV for much longer.
